Venice & Switzerland
This trip meant healing for me. It meant letting go, letting the beauty of earth and Jesus’ craft speak to me tenderly, it meant feeling small next to a mountain in the best way, and it meant letting myself be who God created me to be.
I only have photos from Venice & Switzerland—not that Austria and Germany weren’t just as beautiful but we were so busy I didn’t even have time to pull out my camera. Mark my words that one day I WILL live in Switzerland, at least for a time. It’s my favorite place on earth by far.
Here are a few snippets on what my eyes saw but nothing could ever compare to feeling the cool air whip through the mountains in Switzerland and see the water bend and rise in a gondola in Venice.
Travel is when I come alive. I told my friends when I came back to the States that I felt as if I was my true self on this trip. I just wanted to know everyone on a deeper level, ask them their life stories, see everything I could, talk to locals, sing and dance without caring, and try all the different foods and drinks. I just felt alive. And I am so thankful to be.
